The Citrix XenDesktop connector allows for provisioning/de-provisioning, new machine catalogs and other powerful features to help end-users use the virtual desktop.
Use Case Examples:
Machine Catalog: An administrator wants to create a new machine catalog in Active Directory. With the Citrix XenDesktop connector, administrators can create a new machine catalog either using its built-in UI or a PowerShell script. Once a machine catalog is created, the administrator can link it to a delivery group and then add the approved users.
Virtual Image: IT administrators can easily setup a virtual image with the connector. First, the administrator can create a machine catalog based on the image and parameters. Then, the administrator creates a delivery group that is linked to the machine catalog. The last step is to add the users to the Active Directory group.
